“Abstract Connections” No. 10 F
A tableau exhibition by five picture book authors entitled "Beyond the Grass Field" will be held.
From Thursday, April 24th to Tuesday, May 6th, Seiko House Hall will be holding the "Picture Book Authors' Tableau Exhibition: Beyond the Grassfield," featuring works by five picture book authors: Asari Mayumi, Tateno Kou, Furuya Nana, Horikawa Rimako, and Matsunari Mariko.
Mayumi Asari creates colorful digital art depicting living creatures, with a theme of symbiosis with the natural world.
Picture book author Tateno Kou has a delicate yet dynamic style, creating stories from the perspective of insects lurking in the grasslands.
Nana Furuya, who lives in the Slovak Republic, is known for her bright colors and warm touch.
Horikawa Rimako's work is appealing because of its urbane perspective and stories that adults can enjoy as well.
Mariko Matsunari uses transparent colors and touch to freely depict the connection between people and nature.
What kind of world lies beyond "Kusahara"? Please come to the venue to see the tableau works that each artist has created with free-spirited and unrestrained imagination.
Asari Mayumi
Everything in nature is interconnected,
These invisible connections create a huge cycle.
I want people to feel the beauty of small beings supporting the vastness of nature.

Grass fields can be found anywhere.
If you delve deeper you will see something.
I wonder what the grassland I saw was like.
I quietly recall my memories and come here once again.

As we walk through the grassland, we come to the border.
On the other side of the border, people speak different languages,
People of different nationalities live there.
Beyond a single invisible line,
Every day someone dies in the war,
On this side of the line, I'm playing kick the can.
