Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd., the operator of MUJI, will hold a special exhibition titled "Paper Trail – Everything is a Prototype for the Future" at ATELIER MUJI GINZA Gallery 1 and 2 within MUJI Ginza (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) from Friday, September 5th to Monday, November 24th, 2025.

This exhibition introduces the philosophy and craftsmanship of POSTALCO, a product brand that has focused on fundamental human senses and everyday awareness, creating "tools carefully thought out through the actions of the body." Using letters and postal mail, which connect people around the world, as its motif, their wide range of products, from everyday items and leather goods to furniture, explore essential forms amid the chaos and discomfort of everyday life. MUJI, too, has continued to create products that propose new possibilities for living by questioning conventional wisdom and slightly shifting perspectives. What both brands have in common is the creation of products that originate from the "awareness" of everyday life. This exhibition aims to be a platform for visitors to discover new discoveries by changing their perspective and finding their own sense of comfort in their daily lives.

At the venue, their creative process is expressed in space as a single, long, continuous piece of paper. On the paper are drawings of prototypes, finished products, and everyday tools. This continuous piece of paper is placed to connect the Gallery space, creating a sense of unity throughout the entire ATELIER MUJI GINZA floor.

About "ATELIER MUJI" "ATELIER MUJI" was named by graphic designer and MUJI art director Ikko Tanaka, and is run under the philosophy that "this is a workshop where we return to the origins of life and find hints for moving forward into the future." This forward-looking activity is held as a cultural crossroads that Ryohin Keikaku considers to be a place where exhibitions and events are held on a variety of themes, including art and design.
