Yoshizawa Shoten Co., Ltd. will open a new store in Ginza 1-Chome on Monday, July 29, 2024.

・The highest quality Japanese beef from Ginza to the world

Since its founding in 1924, Yoshizawa Livestock Group has built up a strong reputation as a pioneer in wholesale dealing in high-quality brand beef such as Matsusaka beef and Omi beef, and has been involved in everything from meat procurement to processing and sales. In addition, at Ginza Yoshizawa, where customers can enjoy brand beef using cooking methods that fully utilize the meat's natural flavors, the restaurant offers meat dishes centered around sukiyaki, and has been patronized for a long time. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Yoshizawa Livestock Group. With a new store worthy of marking a new history, the group will take a new step forward with the theme of "the highest quality Japanese beef from Ginza to the world."

Two events will be held to commemorate the opening of the new store.

①For the first 100 customers only, we will offer a "Superb Beef Bowl" made with "Yoshikoma (wagyu beef offcuts)" for 100 yen.

・History of Yoshizawa Livestock Group

Yoshizawa Shoten is a meat retailer that opened in Ginza 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo in 1924. The founder, Yoshizawa Kazuichi, used to transport cattle raised in the Matsusaka area of ​​Mie Prefecture and other areas by train to Tokyo for sale. He later set up a store in Ginza 3-chome, opened Sukiyaki Kappo Ginza Yoshizawa on the second floor, and established Yoshizawa Shoten Co., Ltd. in 1949. As vice-chairman of the Matsusaka Beef Cattle Association, which was established in 1958, he contributed to spreading the name of Matsusaka beef throughout the country. With the opening of the Tokyo Meat Market, the wholesale division was separated in 1967 and Yoshizawa Livestock Co., Ltd. was established as a designated intermediate wholesaler approved by the Tokyo Governor.

At our butcher shop, we purchase and sell only the whole cows that have been carefully selected by experts. These award-winning branded beef, which are made with particular attention to their lineage and breeding methods, have the highest quality meat and fat content.
We have a large water-cooled refrigerator that keeps the humidity in the room constant and eliminates temperature variations in different locations, and we display meat in the showcases at its best.We also have a refrigerated showcase where you can view meat on the bone from the outside for ripening.

・Introduction of the head chef

After graduating from Naoki Kanemura High School, he trained at a Japanese restaurant in Tokyo for eight years, then worked at the Ochanomizu Yamanoue Hotel for 14 years, where he was appointed Japanese sous chef. In 2023, he started working at Ginza Yoshizawa, and the following year, he was appointed head chef.
