Confrontation of expression and inner self seen through study
The animals that Sasaki has been drawing since he was a child are powerful, encouraging viewers and encouraging them to live their own lives. The process involved a huge amount of trial and error and repetition through study, and he also conveys that he has faced expression while carrying conflict, hesitation, and chaos.
We wear the masks of many different animals, and we also keep many animals in our hearts. In a modern society that demands strong and clear communication, perhaps we can be more tolerant and accepting of each other by imagining the inclusion of ambiguity and contradiction.
In addition to new animal works, this exhibition will also display study materials for the first time in the artist's career. We hope that the expressiveness that the artist has built up and the inner world he carries will help viewers imagine themselves and others. Please come and see it. (Curator: Keiichiro Tao)
