[Ginza Wako] “Takaaki Enoki Watercolor Exhibition – Scenes that make you want to embrace me” will be held from Thursday, March 13th

Ginza Wako will be holding the actor and watercolor painter Takaaki Enoki's first solo exhibition at Wako from March 13th (Thurs) to 23rd (Sun) at Seiko House Hall.

Takaaki Enoki has traveled all over the world, and with a desire to paint the wind he feels on his cheeks, he consistently completes his paintings on-site, right down to the coloring. This exhibition, his first at Wako, is themed on "Japan's Unforgettable Primitive Landscapes," and features around 100 light, transparent watercolors, including still lifes, centered on landscapes that evoke nostalgia and touch the hearts of Japanese people.

"Tenshabi" Yamanashi Prefecture (180 x 260 mm)

Spring "The Season of Bloom" Kamogawa River, Kyoto Prefecture (180 x 260 mm) Almost every year, I visit Kyoto to shoot period dramas. The small path along the bank of the Kamogawa River, which I visit on days off from filming, is my favorite walking path. While glancing at the happy figures of couples, I enjoy the blissful moment of painting.

Summer "Fluttering Clouds" Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture (180 x 260 mm) The weather in the mountains is changeable. The clouds from a moment ago continue to change shape one after another while I am painting. Capturing that fleeting appearance in a painting is also one of the joys of painting.

Autumn "Autumn Festival" Ugo Town, Akita Prefecture (260 x 360 mm) This is the season when the mountains are at their most gorgeous throughout the year. The change of the seasons is similar to the life of a person, and my life is also about to enter late autumn. It's not bad to run my brush with such thoughts.

Winter "Snowy Visit" Nezu Shrine, Tokyo (260 x 360mm) The buildings in the background are covered in snow. The scenery that should be familiar to me has suddenly turned into a pure white fantasy world. I found myself there, chasing footprints in the snow leading to the temple gate, looking for someone.
