ATELIER MUJI Special Exhibition “From the World’s Lives – Vernacular MUJI Items Asia Edition”

June 27th (Friday) – August 31st (Sunday)

Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd., the developer of MUJI, will be holding a special exhibition "From Life Around the World – Vernacular MUJI Items Asia" at ATELIER MUJI GINZA Gallery 1 and 2 in MUJI Ginza (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) from Friday, June 27th to Sunday, August 31st.

MUJI operates over 1,300 stores in 29 countries and regions around the world, including Japan, and provides products and services that are in tune with local lifestyles, and values manufacturing that "leaves to the creativity of the user" so that products can be used in a variety of ways depending on the ingenuity of the user. MUJI also creates products that utilize materials, usage, and food culture unique to each country and region through repeated dialogue with people in each country and region. We believe that these are necessary means to be "useful" to the lives of the people living in each region and to society, while respecting the climate, culture, and lifestyle of each region.

When you visit MUJI stores around the world, among the products familiar in Japan, you will find products that are unique to that country or region. This special exhibition conveys various stories that have been nurtured by MUJI's encounters with the "vernacular" cultures of each region, and encourages people to think about the diversity of cultures and lifestyles in each region through MUJI products that are made and used in each region.
