June 4, 2025 (Wednesday) – Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts has opened the long-awaited new facility, Bvlgari Tokyo Ginza Bar & Dolci, in the landmark Bvlgari Ginza Tower in Tokyo's Ginza district. This new space is based on the Italian identity of Bvlgari's home country, and blends with the sophistication of the Ginza district to provide a satisfying experience accompanied by the rich culinary culture of Italy.
In this luxurious space, bathed in open light, we will be offering afternoon tea and lunch sets, as well as a boutique with a selection of dolci (sweets) that can only be found in Japan. The menu combines Italian gastronomy based on the philosophy of three-star Michelin chef Niko Romito with seasonal ingredients unique to Japan, and combines delicate flavors and artistry to provide a memorable experience.
As the name "Sweet Afternoon" suggests, what unfolds here is not just a taste sensation, but a time that satisfies the senses. A new Bvlgari story that can only be experienced in Ginza begins.
"Bulgari Tokyo Ginza Bar & Dolce" offers a vertical gourmet experience that satisfies the five senses
Located on the upper floors of the Bvlgari Ginza Tower, where you can feel the Tokyo skyline up close, Bvlgari Tokyo Ginza Bar & Dolci consists of a private room on the 8th floor, Bvlgari Ginza Dolci on the 9th floor, Bvlgari Ginza Bar on the 10th floor, and the rooftop terrace La Terrazza on the 11th floor.
A bold 9-meter-high atrium stretches between the 9th and 10th floors, large windows open onto the Ginza streetscape, and a veil of light cast by fantastical Murano Barobiere & Toso glass chandeliers. While retaining these iconic design elements, the spatial design on each floor has breathed new life into the hotel, transporting guests to a world outside the ordinary.
This vertically expanding gourmet stage will be overseen by Italy's leading three-star Michelin chef, Niko Romito. As the chef behind Il Ristorante Niko Romito, which is located in Bvlgari Hotels around the world, including Tokyo, Dubai, Paris, Milan, Rome, Shanghai, Beijing and Bali, he has an intimate knowledge of ingredients from around the world and has captivated many people with new dining experiences while discerning their true essence. At Bvlgari Tokyo Ginza Bar & Dolci, we will also be offering an innovative menu that pays homage to traditional dishes from around Italy, based on his simple yet sophisticated culinary philosophy.
"Bulgari Ginza Dolci"
A feast of sensibility and tradition over afternoon tea
Inspired by Italian afternoon tea culture, the experience is divided into four sessions representing different times of the day, taking guests on an elegant and structured journey to "savor the moment" from midday to dusk.
The savory dishes highlight seasonal ingredients and the regional characteristics of various parts of Italy, such as sea bass with caviar and sour cream, shrimp served lavishly in a fragrant pastry cup, tomato and mozzarella tart reconstructed from Caprese, chickpea veggie burger, asparagus and smoked salmon sandwich, and mini roast beef burger, will take you on a journey through the flavors of various parts of Italy.
The sweets are modern adaptations of traditional sweets from various regions, such as pastiera, an essential part of the Easter celebrations in southern Italy, zeppole di San Giuseppe from Naples, and maritozzo from Rome. Of particular note is a baked confectionery that combines hazelnuts from Piedmont with bergamot from Tosa, Japan. This beautiful encounter of aroma and flavor is a special treat that can only be found here at Bvlgari Ginza Dolci. The scones, which are a symbol of afternoon tea, are also Italian in style, with fragrant orange syrup kneaded into the dough and garnished with mascarpone cream and apricot jam, resulting in a rich flavor.
"Bvlgari Ginza Dolce" Boutique
Give the gift of the Bulgari spirit in sweets
Located on the 9th floor, the boutique offers a wide selection of sweet treats for takeaway, perfect as gifts or a treat for yourself. In addition to the signature Chocolate Gems, the boutique also offers seasonal whole cakes and desserts exclusive to Japan.
To commemorate the opening, a special cake will be introduced, made with Kito Yuzu citron from Tokushima Prefecture and rich ricotta cheese from Hokkaido. A fusion of freshness and architectural beauty, this is truly a masterpiece worthy of being called a "jewel of dolce." The brand will also debut its first mini cake assortment, "Pasticceria Mignon." These palm-sized cakes are beautifully packaged, bringing a little luxury to everyday life. All of this is the culmination of a careful collaboration between Chef Niko Romito and Executive Pastry Chef Katsuya Gimitsu. Tasting and gifting are elevated to special experiences that express beauty and emotion in the spirit of Bvlgari.
"Bvlgari Ginza Bar"
Located on the 10th floor, the Bvlgari Ginza Bar has been reimagined as a tranquil space where Italian aesthetics and Japanese craftsmanship meet. Italian marble tables and chairs crafted with intricate Japanese woodworking create an intimate atmosphere that embodies Bvlgari's understated and refined elegance. At lunchtime, a set menu reflecting Chef Niko Romito's culinary philosophy is served, featuring appetizers, homemade pasta and seasonal main dishes, finished with a Bvlgari Dolci signature cake or a refreshing dessert.
In the evening, a monthly changing cocktail collection inspired by Italian film and culture will be served. Each drink is carefully crafted to reflect Bvlgari's design philosophy. From the rooftop terrace "La Terrazza" on the 11th floor above the bar, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Ginza city. Here, you can enjoy signature cocktails along with Bvlgari Ginza Bar's cuisine and desserts. It is a special place where you can feel the atmosphere changing with the city's dynamism from day to night.
In the town of Ginza, where time flows slowly and every gesture is imbued with sophistication. Bvlgari Tokyo Ginza Bar & Dolci is a place where the Italian lifestyle of sharing time and the delicate Japanese spirit of hospitality come together in harmony.
