An unprecedented interactive exhibition where you can "get to know" Pingu and "play" with him.
"More Than Just Cute!? The Pingu Exhibition" is an interactive exhibition themed around an amusement park, where visitors can see, touch, and enjoy Pingu's previously unknown charms.
Through exhibits of valuable clay models used in actual animation production, early studio records, storyboards, and other production materials, visitors can experience the history of Pingu and its characters, getting a feel for the origins of the work. There will also be a photo spot inspired by "Pingu's house," familiar from the anime!
In addition, there is plenty of content that focuses on Pingu's expressive facial expressions, unique movements, and the mysterious "Pingu language" that can be understood even without words.
Stretch, shrink, dance, play…! Experience the freedom unique to clay animation, where characters move with plenty of humor and change shape at will, and discover Pingu's multifaceted charm—it's not just cute!
Please note that information about the merchandise will be released on the exhibition's official website and social media around the end of June . We plan to offer a wide variety of Pingu-themed items that are "not just cute!", so please look forward to them!
With over 4 million followers on Instagram, we've decided to collaborate with the popular miniature photographer and artist, Tatsuya Tanaka!
A collaboration has been announced between Tatsuya Tanaka (miniature photographer and artist specializing in reimagining everyday objects as something else), who is very popular for his miniature art, and Pingu. Three Pingu works that Tatsuya Tanaka has previously posted on social media will be exhibited for the first time, and new works are currently being created specifically for this exhibition.
Enjoy the world of Pingu, which is "more than just cute!", as expressed through the playful miniatures created by Tatsuya Tanaka.
