This time, THE CLUB will hold a solo exhibition "Romantic Depression" by Naoya Inose.
In this exhibition, Inose will go to Iceland for research and present a new work based on the magnificent scenery. In addition to the works of Inose's representative monoliths and penguins, a series with a motif of a color bar of a television that has been making an effort in recent years will be exhibited. Romanticly portrays end-of-life landscapes with the chaotic atmosphere of modern society. This is the second solo exhibition since the first solo exhibition of Inose was held at THE CLUB in 2018 and sold out on the first day.
"Romantic landscape painting has always been linked to its depressive nature. Does the writer's mental and physical emptiness and the hope he finds there bring romance to his work? I guess it sounds familiar. I want you to see the works that visualize that emptiness through my filters. "
