Based on the concept of "capturing, observing, and unleashing", we will explore, discover, capture, and expand our interests with what we have captured.
Art group TeamLab and KDDI will explore and discover with their own bodies at "GINZA 456 Created by KDDI" (hereinafter, GINZA 456) in Ginza, Tokyo, with the concept of "capturing, observing, and unleashing". We will hold "GINZA 456 & TeamLab: A group of butterflies without boundaries to catch and collect" with the aim of expanding interest by catching and catching what you catch. The session is from June 30th (Wednesday) to August 22nd (Sunday), 2021, and is the second project by TeamLab and KDDI to turn imagination into an experience with the power of "communication" and "creativity". ..
We believe that the world brought about by 5G is a borderless world. As with the boundaries of the world and the boundaries of language, the boundaries between the real world and the digital world will disappear. KDDI and TeamLab have started this project to experience such a future.
In other words, until now, the world with your body was separated from the real world, and the world inside your smartphone was separated from the digital world. The digital world enters through the screen of a smartphone. However, in the borderless world brought about by 5G, the boundary between the real world and the digital world disappears.
This time, "Catching and collecting borderless group butterflies" exhibited at "GINZA 456" is based on the concept of "catching, observing, and unleashing", and explored, discovered, caught, and caught by oneself. This is a new learning project that focuses on expanding interest in the wake of things. Use the app "GINZA 456 & teamLab" to explore, catch and observe various types of butterflies, and create your own collection pictorial book.
Butterflies move between the world where your body is and the world inside your smartphone without boundaries.
With the power of "communication" and "creativity", we will turn imagination into experience.
It will be held following the first "GINZA 456 & TeamLab: Walk, Walk, Walk Home" which is being held at GINZA 456 until June 27th (Sun).

Based on the concept of "capturing, observing, and unleashing," this is a new learning project that focuses on exploring, discovering, capturing, and expanding your interests with what you have captured. Explore smartphone apps with one hand, catch and observe various types of butterflies, and create your own collection picture book.
Various butterflies live in the forest. If you touch the butterfly, it will run away.
Download the app "GINZA 456 & teamLab", look at the butterflies flapping in space with the app's camera, and shoot the "observation arrow", and the "observation arrow" will fly into the real space. When the "arrow of observation" hits, the butterfly disappears from the space and enters your smartphone. Information on the observed butterflies will be collected in the app's picture book.
Throw the caught butterfly into a location visible on the app's camera and it will be released and returned to that location.
In the collection picture book, the more you catch the same butterfly, the more detailed information will be written.

[TeamLab]
Art collective. Started activities in 2001. An international interdisciplinary group exploring the crossroads of art, science, technology and nature through collective creation. It is composed of specialists in various fields such as artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians, and architects.
TeamLab wants to explore the relationship between itself and the world and new perceptions through art. People divide the world into pieces for recognition and see them as independent with boundaries. I am seeking to cross the boundary of that cognition, the boundary between myself and the world, and the boundary of cognition for the continuity of time. Everything exists almost miraculously on a long, long, unbounded continuity.
Held permanent exhibitions and art exhibitions around the world, including New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Silicon Valley, Beijing, Taipei and Melbourne. Opened "teamLab Borderless", a museum without a map, in Odaiba, Tokyo. Until the end of 2022, "TeamLab Planets" is being held in Toyosu, Tokyo. 2019 Opened a new museum "teamLab Borderless Shanghai" in Huangpu Hamae, Shanghai. In June 2020, the permanent exhibition "teamLab SuperNature Macao" software opened in Macau. From July 16, 2021, "Volvo Team Lab Kami-sama Sumau Forest" will be held at Takeo Onsen and Mifuneyama Rakuen in Kyushu.
