The select shop “Fujimaki Department Store” ( https://fujimaki-select.com ), which sells only masterpieces with the theme of “Japan”, will hold the largest “Edo Kiriko Sakura Festival” in Japan on March 24, 2023 (Friday). It will be held for three days from ) to 26th (Sun).
This 5th event is an annual festival where you can fully experience the “rich life with Edo Kiriko” through the skills of craftsmen who have passed down the historical Edo Kiriko to the present.
An exhibition where you can see the dynamic and gorgeous new works of Edo Kiriko cut by traditional craftsmen with their soul, direct sales where you can purchase Edo Kiriko that shines with craftsmanship while talking directly with craftsmen, and Edo Kiriko experience. You can also experience craftsmanship such as workshops.

The 35th Edo Kiriko New Works Exhibition (Organizer: Edo Kiriko Cooperative)
In this historical exhibition sponsored by the Edo Kiriko Cooperative Association, you can see the whole body of Edo Kiriko craftsmen, from traditional craftsmen to up-and-coming young artists. New large-scale works such as platters and water jugs that are hard to see elsewhere will be on display.

◆The 3rd Tableware Exhibition
The "Tableware Department" newly established in 2021. Please enjoy "Edo Kiriko as tableware", which has been finished by incorporating the craftsman's commitment, passion, and craftsmanship into shapes that can be used every day, such as rock glasses and tumblers, so that you can feel Edo Kiriko closer to you.

◆Edo Kiriko experience workshop
Edo Kiriko is born from the handiwork of craftsmen that has been handed down over generations. Would you like to cut such Edo Kiriko with your own hands? In the hands-on workshop, you can experience drafting and shaving while receiving direct instruction from an active traditional craftsman. This extremely popular workshop is almost fully booked every time with advance reservations. It takes about 15 minutes and can be enjoyed by elementary school students, so it is recommended as a memory of spring break.
