[Seiko House Ginza Hall (former Wako Hall)] “14th Generation Imaizumi Imaemon Exhibition – Together with Life -” will be held from May 11 (Thursday)

The 14th Imaemon Imaizumi, holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure) of "Iroe porcelain", will hold his fourth solo exhibition after three years.

Seiko House Ginza Hall (former Wako Hall) will hold the 14th Generation Imaizumi Imaemon Exhibition – Together with Life – from May 11th (Thursday) to 21st (Sunday). In this exhibition, more than 80 items will be exhibited, including vases that combine tradition and modernity, as well as tableware that is easy to use in everyday life.

Mr. Imaemon Imaizumi, the 14th generation, has inherited the tradition of elegant Iro Nabeshima that has been passed down since the Edo period and passed it down to future generations, while always keeping in mind the modern age. We are expanding the possibilities of Iro Nabeshima by creating new styles that are not limited to traditional techniques, such as “snow flower ink hajiki” and “platinum color”. In this exhibition, more than 80 items will be exhibited, including well-designed vases and tableware that are easy to use in everyday life. This is an exhibition of attractive works that combine tradition and modernity, continuing to produce crafts that are part of everyday life, even as the times change.
