The tenugui specialty store “Kamawanu” will hold the “Kamawanu Tenugui Exhibition” at Ginza Itoya from Thursday, April 20, 2023. This year, under the theme of "100 Ideas to Color Your Life," you will find 100 ways to use tenugui, and more than 300 different types of tenugui will be on sale. There are plenty of special items and events prepared for this exhibition.
Kamawanu Co., Ltd. will hold the "Kamawanu Tenugui Exhibition" from April 20th (Thursday) to May 8th (Monday), 2023 at Ginza Itoya G.Itoya B1 Inspiration Hall.
Starting with the desire to convey the wonderfulness of tenugui to more customers, the "Edo Furyu Tenugui Exhibition", which has been held 26 times so far, has been renewed this year by changing its name to "Kamawanu Tenugui Exhibition".
This time, with the theme of "100 Ideas to Color Your Life," we will introduce 100 different ways to use tenugui, including actual and panel displays, to make your day more enjoyable with just a little ingenuity. In addition, nearly 100 tenugui towels hung from the ceiling add color to the venue, welcoming everyone with a cool installation.
In addition, more than 300 types of tenugui will be on sale at the venue, as well as special items such as tenugui with 12 colors of "mameshibori pattern" dyed for this exhibition. There are plenty of fun events such as holding a design contest and workshops where you can experience making beeswax wraps, which are attracting attention as a sustainable item! In addition, the venue-limited “AR photo frame” will appear for the first time this time.

You can make your own original bleached dishcloth by applying your favorite pattern and color from 14 different stencils to bleached cloth (sewn) that is half the size of a tenugui.
