~ A day to experience Japanese culture in Higashi Ginza ~ “HIGASHI GINZA Traditional Festival” will be held

For two days only, there will be live Japanese dance performances and a relaxing space with a Japanese theme!

Higashi Ginza Area Management General Incorporated Association will hold the HIGASHI GINZA Traditional Festival, an event to enjoy traditional culture in the Higashi Ginza area, for two days on Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th, 2025.

Higashi Ginza was once a town bustling with theaters, with many feudal lords' mansions and traditional Japanese restaurants. Famous shops and theaters remain here unchanged. Traditional culture of Kabuki and Shimbashi Geisha. A live performance of "Japanese dance", which has supported traditional Japanese culture as part of Higashi Ginza's history, will be held in a frank and enjoyable manner. In addition, during the event, Ginchu-dori Street near Shimbashi Enbujo (near Ginza 6-18, Chuo Ward) will be closed off, and a pedestrian paradise will be held for two days only, where visitors can enjoy a Japanese space.
A special two-day experience of the traditional culture of Higashi Ginza. We will provide everyone, from children to adults, including those who don't usually have the chance to go to the theater or those who are traveling, with a chance to experience traditional culture while having fun.

Details: For the two-day event period only, the roads around Shinbashi Enbujo will be closed off to create a pedestrian precinct.
Enjoy a moment of exposure to traditional culture in the pedestrianised precinct decorated with the traditional Japanese decor typical of Higashi Ginza.
