The "Hometown Hot Pot Grand Prix 2027" will bring together proud local and regional hot pot dishes from all over Japan.
This winter-only gourmet event allows you to compare and contrast various hot pot dishes as if you were traveling across Japan, all while staying in Tokyo.
The event takes place at the end of January, a time of year when the cold is particularly severe.
We'll bring you three days where you can enjoy the unique flavors and food culture of the region while gathered around a steaming hot pot.
A variety of piping hot pot dishes showcasing the unique characteristics of each region across Japan will be available.
■Eat, vote, and decide Japan's best hot pot!
The highlight of the event is the "Hometown Hot Pot Grand Prix," a competition in which visitors can participate.
The 2027 Grand Prix winner will be determined by online voting conducted by attendees who actually tasted the hot pot at the venue.
Vote for your favorite hot pot, considering not only the taste, but also the unique local ingredients and ideas, the appearance, and whether it's a dish you'd want to eat again.
Which of the many proud hot pot dishes gathered from all over the country will emerge victorious?
Please come to the venue, try different hot pots, and find your favorite!
■A warm tent will be available! A DJ will also be playing Showa-era pop songs!
Perfect for the cold season! A heated "cozy tent" will be set up inside the venue. What's more, a DJ will be performing inside the cozy tent! He'll be playing nostalgic songs right in front of you. Enjoy yourself to your heart's content.
