The "Ummee Aomori Festival" (organized by the Ummee Aomori Festival Executive Committee), where you can enjoy delicious Aomori cuisine made with seafood and mountain produce from Aomori Prefecture's abundant natural resources, will be held for the first time at Hibiya Park in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, for three days from September 18th (Fri) to 20th (Sun), 2026.
Aomori Prefecture is a treasure trove of delicious ingredients. Surrounded by the sea on three sides, it boasts an abundance of seafood, including tuna from Oma and scallops from Mutsu Bay. The climate with its significant temperature differences produces sweet and delicious fruits such as apples and cherries. The prefecture also has many brand-name rice products, wagyu beef, horse meat, and local chicken, and its agricultural output ranks first in Tohoku and fifth nationwide (according to the 2024 Agricultural Production Income Statistics). There are also plenty of local dishes such as "kaiyaki miso" (grilled scallops with miso), "Aomori nokke don" (a seafood rice bowl), and "ichigo-ni" (sea urchin and abalone stew), as well as local gourmet dishes such as "Towada bara-yaki" (grilled Towada beef) and "miso curry milk ramen".

Held concurrently with the popular food festival "Niku Matsuri 2026 in Hibiya Park" (organized by the Niku Matsuri Executive Committee).
