DESIGNART TOKYO, Japan's largest design and art festival, presents a diverse range of presentations in design, art, interior design, and fashion, set against the backdrop of Tokyo, one of the world's leading cities for mixed culture. Details of the main venue for the landmark 10th edition have finally been revealed. The Tokyo Expressway, which supported the city's rapid economic growth as a vital part of its infrastructure, will serve as the stage for the main venue, specifically the "KK Line," which forms the core of the expressway. This year, the cutting-edge architectural design studio "ALTEMY" will create a sculptural temporary structure spanning 2,000 square meters. Based in the "AUTOBAHN," an exhibition space that runs through the heart of skyscrapers, the diverse creativity of creators, manufacturers, and brands from around the world will resonate throughout Tokyo.

Like the German highway "AUTOBAHN" with no speed limits, this is a place that will endlessly expand the possibilities of design and art with a "NO LIMIT" attitude. It is a venue that exudes overwhelming energy and a sense of expansion from the past to the future, serving as a "starting point for creativity that begins running from the heart of Tokyo." *The main venue will be open for 5 days from October 30th (Fri) to November 3rd (Tue/Holiday) of the entire exhibition period.

From Sukiyabashi Intersection to Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan
The spatial design was handled by the highly acclaimed architectural design studio "ALTEMY".
ALTEMY, which interprets the memories and historical context rooted in the land and influences the behavior and sensibilities of the people who gather there to create a new landscape, has been selected to design the main venue. The representative, Mr. Tsugawa, was a recipient of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Training Program for Emerging Artists and worked at the New York architectural firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R). The firm is known for designing the "High Line," which transformed the former elevated railway line in Manhattan into a green corridor, and Mr. Tsugawa was also involved in "The Mile-Long Opera," a project that traverses urban space and performing arts, at the same site.
ALTEMY
ALTEMY (Representative: Architect Eri Tsugawa) is a first-class architectural design office/architectural design studio that expands the possibilities of place. They design a wide range of fields, including architectural design, landscape, roads, mobility, and textile development, as a single "architecture." They connect human physicality and sensibilities with the environment, creating new richness in society. Their achievements include Sankita Plaza (Kobe Sannomiya Station Plaza), Machi no Hoikuen Minami Aoyama (Minato Ward licensed nursery school), Nihonbashi e-LINER (exterior and interior design of a water bus), and the Grand Prize winner of the Shibuya Koen-dori 2040 Design Competition (road design). Major awards include the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Urban Landscape Award Special Prize, the Japan Society of Civil Engineers Design Award Excellence Award, and the Tokyo University of the Arts Emerald Award.
