Tajima Takaoki is an artist who infuses his sculptures and paintings with an outlaw spirit. Born into a family of Buddhist sculptors, Tajima aspired to be a sculptor from an early age and graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts in 2000. Tajima's original art, full of "outlaw fun," has resonated with many people and is now highly regarded by a wide range of people. He has always stuck to his own style and established his artistic world after going through various challenges. Tajima's works express a world where nostalgia reminiscent of the innocent heart of childhood coexists with humor. The 4th Ota Kosan Collection Exhibition will feature 56 works full of unexpected fun and unusual humor (4 wood carvings, 2 bronze, 6 FRP, 5 canvas works, 14 drawings, and 25 doodles).
