·overview
dugudagii is an artist who creates three-dimensional works by encasing plants, flowers, and ceramic objects in transparent materials such as resin and acrylic.
This exhibition will feature three-dimensional works that confine in his mind the narratives spun from his own experiences and tastes, as well as organic and inorganic images, all trapped within acrylic. By confining the objects within the space of acrylic, which eliminates concepts of gravity and time, he expresses the coexistence of the natural and the unnatural in a world of the imagination. Based on the artist's desire to "make these objects usable in everyday life and serve as a starting point for the intermingling of fantasy and reality," he will present works that function not only as ornamental objects but also as flower vases.
・Artist statement
With the theme of "symbiosis," I have materialized the things that currently coexist in my mind. They have been naturally present in me for a long time. They may be biological, spatial memories, or inorganic objects. In order to materialize and express the nature and sensation of these things as works, the contradictory appearance of the natural and existing state and the state that seems somehow unnatural was important as the nature of the theme. In other words, it is to temporarily ignore the relationship between gravity, space, objects, and time. In expressing this, I first imagined a cut-out space. I also replaced it with an acrylic block and assumed it to be a pseudo-space, and tried to express the nature of the theme by placing objects made of ceramic inside it. In addition, the reason why all of the works this time are flower vases is because I wanted to give them the nature of a vase, as they would become the basis and starting point for the remix work of fantasy, reality, and time, and I wanted to expand the real space that spreads from there.

FOAM CONTEMPORARY
Combining the concept of “LIQUID,” which evokes flexible project content, with the concept of “SOLID,” which is a fully equipped space as a traditional white cube, the intermediate form known as “FOAM” is an expressive space that reflects the Japanese art scene from multiple angles.
The first "O" in the logo is intentionally misshapen to evoke the image of a bubble. It represents the ever-changing contemporary art scene itself, while also expressing the image of an artist's free, flexible and infinite expression.
As an expressive space that explores and fosters the value and joy of art that transcends the life cycle of art, while staying in tune with the actuality of the times, we will introduce a variety of noteworthy artists regardless of their career history or age.
