Craft Candy Theater "PAPABUBBLE" will open its Lumine Yurakucho store on Wednesday, June 25th at Lumine Street.
PAPABUBBLE was founded in Barcelona, Spain in 2003, and arrived in Japan in 2005, opening its first store in Nakano. It will celebrate its 20th anniversary on June 25, 2025.
The Lumine Yurakucho store, which will open on this memorable day, will be a special space where you can experience a live candy-making performance right before your eyes in an open-air store with a permanent kitchen. This new flagship store will allow you to enjoy the brand's original "liveliness" and "playfulness" with all five senses.
■ A new "theater" has been created where you can experience a lively atmosphere, playfulness, and the extraordinary
The new Papabubble store, which is opening soon, has a theme of "Craft Candy Theater," and the entire space expresses the "liveliness," "playfulness," and "extraordinaryness" that Papabubble holds dear.
At the heart of the store is a production space where candy-making demonstrations can be seen like a stage. The layout is immersive, allowing visitors to experience the artisans' handiwork up close. The fixtures make use of curved lines, and the space is designed with a matte black theme, making use of the white space to highlight each individual product. The walls are also kept to a minimum with decoration, allowing the craftsmen's actions and the vivid colors of the candy themselves to stand out. A world view is constructed through the texture of materials and lighting, creating a space that conveys the appeal of the brand.
The biggest feature of this store is that it was designed around the "experience" of not just "looking at and buying products," but also "watching the production and interacting with people." The store itself will be a theater where candy is made, and we aimed to create a space where customers who visit are both spectators and part of the story.
Furthermore, by introducing a "reverse flap display" that indicates the time of the demonstration, the start time of the candy making is displayed as "next show time", which acts as an accent to enhance the "theatricality" of the entire space. Just like a real theater, all visitors can experience the excitement of waiting for the next show.
■ An original bag will be given to the first 100 customers each day for the first three days of the opening.
To commemorate the opening, the first 100 customers who purchase products each day will receive an original tote bag. The bag features illustrations of candy artisans and is made of thick canvas. It is a highly practical item that can be used not only as an eco-bag for shopping at Papabubble, but also for everyday use.
Also, for the same three-day limited time, capsule toys will be available in which you can win the popular Bubblets. You can participate once per person with the special coin you will receive when you purchase. Look forward to finding out which flavor you will win.
■ Opening commemorative limited edition happy bag (250 bags)
To celebrate the opening, we will be selling a limited edition of 250 original candy sets in drawstring pouches. In addition to Papabubble's standard "Fruit Mix" and "Thank You Mix," the set also includes candies with a limited edition "LUMINE STREET" logo. What's more, the set also includes a 500 yen coupon that can be used on your next purchase, making it a special set worth a total of 3,980 yen.
