Hiroshi Nagai

An illustrator born in Tokushima City in 1947.
Known for his original summer landscape paintings, inspired by scenes that impressed him during his time in the United States, he has had a significant influence on the fashion and music industries, with numerous works appearing in magazines, advertisements, and record jackets. After working as a graphic designer, he became an illustrator in 1976. He specializes in tropical and clear landscape illustrations, exemplified by his record jackets for Eiichi Ohtaki's "A LONG VACATION" and "NIAGARA SONG BOOK." Since then, he has created numerous illustrations for record/CD jackets and advertisements. In recent years, he has also collaborated with stationery manufacturers and apparel brands. He is also a collector of black music and active as a DJ.
