[Office tenants' unnecessary clear files are reused as "eco pinwheels"!]
As part of efforts to reduce waste and promote reuse, unused clear files were collected from office tenants at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya and reused as decorations for "eco pinwheels." Approximately 200 were collected over a 10-day period, and clear files were used to make about 400 "eco pinwheels," or about 40% of the total of about 1,000 in the dome.

■ "Hibiya Oh! MATSURI Stage" brings together festivals from all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa
During the weekends of the Obon festival in August, traditional Japanese performing arts and festivals from all over Japan will gather in Hibiya Step Square. Summer festivals such as the "Awa Odori" from Tokushima, "Sousaku Eisa" from Okinawa, and "YOSAKOI Soran" from Hokkaido will be on display, allowing you to enjoy summer festivals from all over Japan for free without leaving Hibiya, making you feel like you're traveling all over the country.
● Saturday, August 10th: Iwami Kagura, Shimane
Based on Japanese mythology, Iwami Kagura is a traditional performing art that has been handed down since ancient times in the Iwami region in western Shimane Prefecture. The dancers wear gorgeous costumes woven with gold and silver threads and expressive masks to the unique, melancholic sound of flutes and lively drum music. The performance this time, "Ebisu," depicts Ebisu, who is known throughout Japan as the god of prosperous business and bountiful catches, fishing.
●August 11th (Sunday) Tokushima/Tokyo Koenji Awa Dance
The Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori was started in 1957 by the shopping district's youth group, who planned to create a lively atmosphere in the town by utilizing the Awa Odori dance, a traditional performing art from Tokushima Prefecture. The initial audience numbers were around 2,000, but the event has now grown to become known as "a Tokyo summer tradition," attracting a total of 161 participating troupes, around 10,000 dancers, and a total audience of around 1 million people over the two-day event, and it also plays a major role as a tourist destination for visitors to Japan.
●August 12th (Monday, National Holiday) Kagoshima Ohara Festival
The Ohara Festival, which began in 1949 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Kagoshima City, is the largest festival in southern Kyushu. The Kanto Konan Alumni Association Dance Group, which will be performing this time, is a high school alumni association group, and on the day, everyone from children to seniors over 90 years old will be wearing matching yukatas with the school emblem as a motif, and will be performing a fun and gorgeous dance, so please enjoy the autumn scenery of Kagoshima!
● August 17th (Saturday) Okinawa Original Eisa
The Ryukyu Dance Troupe Shoryu Matsuri Taiko will perform a highly creative performance that incorporates Okinawan karate forms and Ryukyu dance movements into its choreography while preserving the foundations of Okinawa's traditional art of Eisa.
