A movie experience where you can "watch while doing other things" in your own style under the autumn sky in the city center. In addition to the relaxing Yogibo style that was very popular last year, the viewing seats have also been renovated!
Tokyo Midtown Hibiya will be holding the "HIBIYA CINEMA FESTIVAL 2024" event from October 11th (Friday) to 27th (Sunday), proposing various new ways to enjoy movies with the concept of "an experiential film festival starting from Hibiya."
"HIBIYA CINEMA FESTIVAL" is an annual event that enlivens "Hibiya, the city of movies and entertainment," and has been visited by a total of approximately 3.8 million people over the past six years .
The theme for the 7th event in 2024 will be "Nagara Cinema," just like last year. Instead of watching movies in a movie theater or other quiet indoor space, you can enjoy movies for free in your own style under the autumn sky in the city center, whether that be while "talking" with family or friends, "relaxing," or even "immersing yourself" in the world of the movie.
This year, the seating will be renovated to be even more photogenic, providing an open, sensory-stimulating movie experience that you can't get at a movie theater.
After this event, the 37th Tokyo International Film Festival will continue with outdoor screenings at the same venue, including a special feature on the 100th anniversary of Columbia Pictures.

What is the Women's Reporters Film Award (formerly the Women's Reporters & Writers Film Award)? The Women's Reporters Film Award is a new award established by Eican!, a group that works to "liven up the film industry, which has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic," and "eliminate the gender gap in the film industry." In order to make a difference in the current situation, where the gender gap has not yet been resolved not only in film production but also in the world of film writers and film awards, the "Film Awards Selected by Female Reporters & Writers," with an all-female jury, was established by film writer and columnist Shiho Atsumi and film personality Satori Ito. The award criteria are "films that empower women," and the awards are selected for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Newcomer, and Best Foreign Language Film from films released between April of the previous year and March of the current year.
