·overview
Shuko Tsuchiya started ink painting at the age of 18, and became a master two years later. He continues to explore the possibilities of ink painting with his unique style that combines ink painting techniques with modern art materials such as fluorescent acrylic and spray paint. In recent years, he has been active in various genres, including collaborations with numerous high-end brands such as DIOR, FENDI ROMA, and Ferrari, and live performances. In this exhibition, he will present ink paintings depicting Japanese plants and animals and landscapes, focusing on the color of the ink, bleeding, fading, and undulations of the brush, as well as installation works using light that utilize the transparency of the support material, washi paper.
・Message for this exhibition
Dip your brush in ink and follow the inner guidance of your heart to draw lines with your whole body. Countless soul tracks swell, blur, bleed, sometimes turn around and jump up. Suddenly, these lines begin to take shape and from there, creation begins. Thick and light ink resonate with each other. Follow your intuition and draw the energy of life. A point that indicates the beginning of the flow of energy and a point where that flow ends. They connect to nature and create a cycle. All the energy in the painting starts to move and continues to circle endlessly.
Classical and modern, conscious and unconscious, movement and stillness.
All opposing elements blend together into one, creating works that are born in harmony.
This harmony is what we call "super harmony," and it resonates deeply in the hearts of those who see it.
-HYPER ONENESS- is an exhibition that expresses the mysterious energy that transcends the limits of time and space and melts all things into one.
