[Ginza Yodoya Bookstore] Kyogenshi Nomura Mansaku “Live the Kyogen” Publication Commemorative Talk Event & Signed Book Handover Held on Wednesday, July 24

Ginza Yodoya Bookstore (Chinado, Tokyo, GINZA SIX 6F) BOOK EVENT SPACE will be holding an event inviting Mansaku Nomura, a madman at the National National Treasure on July 24 (Wed).

Event summary

We will hold a talk event & signed book hand-off party of Mansaku Nomura, who is a madman in human national treasure.
Mr. Mansaku Nomura welcomed Yonju, and published the book "I Live in Kyogen", a collection of 85 years of work history. In commemoration of the publication, we will talk about "the essence and the future of kyoto".

One of the important themes of Ginza Ashiya Bookstore is “Japanese culture”. We have been proposing the great things through bookshelves, fairs, and events, but we have decided to create an opportunity to “touch the classics” anew.

It is very unusual for Mr. Mansaku Nomura to give a talk to the general public, and it will be a very valuable opportunity to hand over the last signed work.

Ginza Yodoya Bookstore connects art and Japanese culture and living through books, and proposes "living with art". We hope that this talk event will be an opportunity for many people to deeply touch and enjoy Japanese traditional performing arts, Kyogen.

Nomura Mansaku (Nomura Mansaku)

1931 grader. A screamer. Important intangible cultural property individual designated holder (human national treasure), cultural merit person. He studied with his grandfather and late first generation Nomura Shinsai and his father, late sixth generation Nomura. First stage at 3 years old. Graduated from Waseda University Faculty of Literature. Presides of "The Complete Works".
Contributing to the spread of Kyogen at home and abroad. He is a visiting professor at Hawaii University and Washington University. Won the Art Festival Grand Prize for acting of the song "Kyoto" by Kyogen. In addition, he has received numerous awards such as Kinokuniya Drama Award, Nippon Art Academy Award, Matsuo Performing Arts Award, Murasaki Shiho, Shiho Tsubuchi Haruka Award, Best Father Award, Asahi Prize, Asahi Sun Kosho Chapter, Chunichi Culture Award, etc. 2002 Waseda University Artistic Achievement Person. 2008 Nerima Ward honor wards.
