At Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore (GINZA SIX 6F, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), we will propose "THE ART OF LIGHTING" as the 3rd anniversary project of Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore.

As of April 14, Ginza Tsutaya Shoten is temporarily closed due to measures against new coronavirus infections.
Now that people's lives have changed completely and it has become difficult to get out of their homes, I would like to propose "living with art" through our online site, and I would like to spend a happy time at home.

Various light sculpture exhibition "THE ART OF LIGHTING"

The fair we propose this time is the "○○ and Architecture" fair, which is looking for a new entrance to architecture. The first is "Art and Architecture". We propose lighting as an entrance from art to architecture.

Sculptor Isamu Noguchi also designed the lighting, which was an artistic activity of "making sculpture with light". Therefore, we have selected and collected lights designed by various creators such as architect Toyo Ito and artist Kohei Nawa. Is the lighting a product designed by an architect or an art created by an artist? Enjoy the "THE ART OF LIGHTING" sculpture exhibition of various lights.

At the Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore's architecture bookstore, there are approximately 6,000 titles selected by the architectural concierge, who is also a first-class architect, from Japan and overseas. In particular, the collection of works that occupy 1/2 of the whole is substantial. A large number of phantom masterpieces are available in vintage old books, and all of them are layouts based on the genealogy of the architect.
