[This year's theme is "Hydrangeas in the Ancient Capital"]
Every year during the rainy season, hydrangeas bloom in abundance at famous sites in ancient capitals across Japan, attracting many visitors. We chose this year's theme as our desire to have people enjoy the beautiful scenery of Japan's ancient capitals at the Ginza Sky Garden.
We have created a space where you can spend some relaxing time and find peace of mind in the midst of your busy daily life.

[Hydrangeas and garden highlights]
<Hydrangea>
・Lagrange® Crystal Veil <br /> This is a new variety of hydrangea that blooms lavishly across the entire plant, with flowers blooming from the side buds. Depending on the pH of the soil, it produces beautiful gradational flower buds with a mixture of blue, purple, pink, etc.

・Casanova Pink <br /> This hydrangea combines the charms of both the sepal and ball-shaped blooms, and is characterized by its delicate petals and beautiful gradation of color.

・Collecting Stars <br /> Each flower bud changes color at a different time, so the hydrangeas look like they are dotted with tiny stars. You can enjoy their small but sparkling appearance.

・Flower water basin
Flower water basin is a chozuya (purification fountain) where you purify your hands and mouth before praying at a shrine or temple, decorated with seasonal flowers. This time, we will recreate a flower water basin using hydrangeas.

<Photo Spot>
A bench and an arch decorated with hydrangeas have been set up in the garden as a photo spot.
You can take photos surrounded by colorful hydrangeas and decorations that evoke the atmosphere of an ancient capital.

[Hydrangeas will be used in various ways after the exhibition to promote the reduction of flower waste]
◆ After the display, the hydrangeas are donated to nearby elementary schools, creating opportunities for children to experience flowers and nature. During the period, students from nearby elementary schools are invited to a tour every year. The tour also includes a quiz about hydrangeas, making it a fun learning opportunity.
After the display, some of the hydrangeas are donated to elementary schools to help reduce flower waste and provide children with opportunities to experience flowers and nature.
