<An original character designed by actor Ikusaburo Yamazaki will become the festival's new symbol>
Ikusaburo Yamazaki, a leading actor in the musical world who has deep ties to Hibiya, the city of film and theater, and who publishes illustrations on YouTube under the name "Artist", has designed an original character to serve as an ambassador for the "Hibiya Festival". During the event, the character will appear at the venue as a symbol watching over the festival.

<Ikusaburo Yamazaki>
Actor and singer. Born in Tokyo in 1986. In 2007, he made his debut as Marius in the musical "Les Miserables" and began working as a musical actor. He has appeared in popular dramas such as "Downtown Rocket" and "Yell." He was the Japanese voice actor for the Beast in the live-action film "Beauty and the Beast" (2017). He is known as the "Prince of the Musical World."

[Artist's comment and concept introduction]
There is a custom of installing ghost lights in Broadway theaters. A single lamp is left lit on the stage when the theater is not in use. It is said that this is because there is a belief that ghosts live in theaters, and that leaving a light on the stage will scare away the ghosts. Inspired by this ghost light, we decided to create a character that is a ghost that watches over the audience rather than scare them away. During the Hibiya Festival, come and find four types of ghosts that will bring smiles and wonderful times to all who visit.
