In the picture above is not just luxury beef but own brand beef that grew up on a group farm launched by Toraji Co., Ltd. that runs yakiniku restaurants.
We had a chance to attend a sneak preview to listen to episodes on how the own brand beef had established. Let us introduce some stories.
Their own brand beef shipped for the first time.
There is a word “sixth industry”. In the sixth industry, one company conducts production, food processing and distribution and sales. (Primary industry x Secondary industry x Third industry = Sixth industry.)
Toraji has decided to enter the sixth industry. And in October 2015, they launched Toraji Farm as an affiliated company.
However, at the beginning, even employees doubted realization. The problem was that it is difficult for a company in a different field to run a ranch. There were various concerns such as profitability and quality.
Meanwhile, a professor at Tokyo Agricultural University introduced Tsukada Farm to them. Then their agricultural management started to commence in a full scale.
Each cow has a name in Toraji Farm. A cow with a hole in their ear is “Pierce”. A handsome one is “Dean”.
This is not the only commitment to carefully handle cows. In Toraji Farm, there are only 5 cows in a fence capable for 10. This is a measure against stress on their cattle. Also, Mozart’s classical music is being played for cows to relax.
Manually fed.
My own brand cow carefully brought up in this way won A5 rank – BMS No. 12. It will be commercialization in September.
Be sure to pay attention to brand beef of Toraji. It’s safe and delicious.
