[Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore] Ukiyo-e looking into the & # 8221; Edo culture & # 8221; from the zodiac signs and puns |

Introducing masking tape and cookie molds that make your time at home fun.

Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore (GINZA SIX 6F, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will release a new series "Modern Edo Craftsman Tsukushi" from the store's original miscellaneous goods, Edo series from Wednesday, December 9th.

◆ "Modern Edo craftsmanship" born from Utagawa Kuniyoshi's ukiyo-e "Zodiac craftsmanship"

Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore's original product "Modern Edo Craftsman Tsukushi" series is a humorous visual miscellaneous item with a modern arrangement of "Twelve Zodiac Craftsmen Tsukushi" by Kuniyoshi Utagawa, a master of ukiyo-e that Japan is proud of in the world.

In Utagawa Kuniyoshi's original work, "The Zodiac of the Zodiac," the Zodiac is expressed in a unique way of profession with "puns". It is a very fun ukiyo-e to explore what kind of profession each zodiac is drawn in.
Next year's Zodiac Ox played the role of carrying cargo during the Edo period, making wheels, dogs becoming "craftsmen who make dogs", and chickens telling us that the morning has come every day. It is described as a "craftsman who repairs watches".
