In Marunouchi, the annual event "Marunouchi Illumination" will be held again this year. The roadside trees in the Marunouchi area centered on the main street, Marunouchi Naka-dori, which stretches for about 1.2 km, are colored with about 1.2 million champagne gold-colored LEDs.
The endless illumination tree is a spectacular word! Even if you don't walk around, it seems that the desire to "see the illuminations!" Will be satisfied just here. It's an office district, so the noise is modest. It is attractive to be immersed in the atmosphere.

Marucube's "Tree of Hogwarts Magic" on the 1st floor of the Marunouchi Building is a spot where you can enjoy a lighting show that expresses magic with sound and light on a huge tree using a 3D hologram display. (The show is held every 10 minutes from 17:00. The final episode is 21:00.)
It seems that it was just after some event when I went, and as you can see from the photo, it was quite crowded. I had a little trouble getting to the place. If it's crowded, it may be a good idea to slowly find your favorite shooting location after one show is over and people are separated.
In the show, the train heading to Hogwarts, which is familiar in "Harry Potter", and the game of "Quiditch" will appear in the tree one after another with BGM, and the tension will rise to the production that feels more powerful than the size of the tree. !!

KITTE Marunouchi has been developing illuminations using traditional Japanese crafts. In 2021, "WHITE KITTE" will create a fantastic white world by hanging about 12,000 pieces of Japanese paper decorations and lanterns from the ceiling under the theme of "Japanese paper".
The snow made of Japanese paper is designed to mean the abundance of five grains, which is the traditional pattern "Yukikamon", with a prayer for a bright future.
It's nice to look up at the modern Japanese Yuki no Hana, but looking down from above also had a different advantage.
During the period from 12:10 to 20:50 during the "WHITE KITTE" period, the entire atrium space shines beautifully every 20 minutes to the three different original sounds that image snow. "Direction program" is being implemented. It is a recommended spot for those who want to see the moist and twinkling light instead of the glare.

The Peninsula A blue tree formed by glittering balls and ribbon objects that appeared in front of Tokyo. There is also a present box object at the bottom, which is full of dreams like Christmas, and it is a very cute illumination that makes you excited just by looking at it.

The Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan is right in front of you after leaving JR Yurakucho Station. This year too, it is decorated in a flashy manner, adding color to the square in front of the station. The design is different every year, but 2021 is somewhat reminiscent of whole cakes. I want you to take a quick look from an angle where you can shoot a round shape.
The tree on the top can be seen up close if you go to the roof garden of Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan. It was a little-known spot with few people.

The illuminations of Hibiya Naka-dori and Tokyo Midtown Hibiya are outstanding every year and make you feel like Christmas. This year's theme is "TOMORROW ~ A new curtain opens ~". The tree is colored with gradation colors with the expectation for tomorrow, "May the wonderful tomorrow begin to shine at the end of the day."

Of particular note is the illumination of "HIBIYA WINTER SQUARE" that appeared in the Hibiya Step Plaza in front of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya. A special production called "Coming Tomorrow" is performed once every 20 minutes, and the appearance of the sky from night to morning is expressed by changing it with gradations such as purple, blue, red, and white.
It is easy to overlook because it is small, but the QR code is posted on the tree in the center, and when you read it with your smartphone, the AR filter starts. If you are interested, you can take a video of a meteor with the motif of "the morning star" moving against the background of the tree.

The photo above is from rainy weather, but it's a shame to think that if it was sunny, the lights leaking from the stars and skyscrapers in the clear winter sky would have been more beautiful. The "Tokyo Christmas Market" in Hibiya Park is celebrating its 7th anniversary this year. There were wooden huts (16 restaurants, 11 miscellaneous goods stores) with different Christmas decorations, and there were live performances by the orchestra, creating a lively atmosphere.
You can't stop by because you need to make a reservation in advance to enter, but the illuminations such as the huge Christmas pyramid and the illumination of the fountain are worth a visit!

In the Ginza area, which is full of large commercial facilities and flagship stores of famous brands, the glitz of the building itself is more eye-catching than the illuminations, but I still found some atmospheric spots.
In the Ginza area, entitled "Ginza Illuminations 2021", we are developing illuminations with different tastes for each street. Looking around, it's interesting because the atmosphere is completely different depending on the street. For example, on Ginza Dori (Chuo Dori) facing Ginza Mitsukoshi and GINZA SIX, LEDs are wrapped around the roadside trees to subtly color the cityscape. "Shiseido Winter Illuminations 2021" lights up for planting in the Shiseido Ginza Building. This year's theme for the 21st time is "Thanks to many people", and it is a blue light with heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals who are making efforts to deal with the new coronavirus infection.
In addition to this, the chic atmosphere of blue, which is rarely seen elsewhere, has a presence that is not glaring but has a charm that draws you in somewhere. Namiki-dori, where the Shiseido Ginza Building is located, is a relatively calm place, so you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere.
