2022/12/2 (Fri) – 2023/1/29 (Sun)
Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd., which develops MUJI, will be at “ATELIER MUJI GINZA” in “MUJI Ginza” (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) from December 2, 2022 (Friday) to January 29, 2023 (Sunday). will hold a special exhibition "MUJI for Public Space – 100 Ideas for Enjoying the City Even More".
Led by architect Daisuke Motoki, DDAA is an architecture and design office active in various fields such as architecture, urban planning, landscape, interior, product, and concept making. We have organized the DDAA LAB as a research institute within our office, where we conduct experimental design and research centered on architectural thinking.
Since last year, in our medium-term management plan, one of our missions is to have our stores play the role of community centers and to work with local residents to address the issues faced by each region. This time, together with DDAA LAB, we will once again look at the relationship between the "individual" and the "public" in which the unspecified number of people intervene. We propose and exhibit 100 kinds of ideas for enjoying the town by using MUJI products in the town of Ginza, considering everything from things to the town as materials that can be edited. I would like to create an example of creating new ideas and hints for the issues facing cities, towns, and regions.
